WHAT WE DO

 

The Ga Central Municipal Assembly's Urban Roads Department is working tirelessly to maintain roads within the municipality, including those in areas like Israel. Under the leadership of the Urban Roads Engineer, Mr. John Armah, the department has outlined ongoing projects to be tackled to improve the condition of roads, ensuring they are safe and accessible for residents. In view of this, the Urban Roads Engineer, Mr. John Armah, on 30th January, 2025, inspected several roads in the municipality, including the Israel road, which is slated for construction. The department's efforts are focused on providing a smooth and safe journey for drivers and pedestrians, while also promoting economic development and improving the overall quality of life for residents.         

Some of the key activities undertaken by the Urban Roads Department include: - Routine Maintenance: Desilting, grass cutting, drain and kerb cleaning, pothole patching, and minor drainage repairs - Periodic Maintenance: Drainage construction, culvert construction, gravelling, and resealing - Traffic Management and Safety: Installation of road signs, crush barriers, pedestrian guardrails, and road line marking The Ga Central Municipal Assembly's Urban Roads Department is committed to ensuring that roads within the municipality are well-maintained and safe for use. With the support of the Municipal Chief Executive and other stakeholders, the department is working to achieve its goals and improve the lives of residents.
